Alignment of the ATLAS Muon Spectrometer Using Muon Tracks

In this thesis focuses on the alignment of the ATLAS muon spectrometer with muon tracks. The possibility of using curved tracks was studied in detail and a possible algorithm is presented. Furthermore a fast method of confirming the alignment with straight tracks was developed. The authors contribution to the commissioning of the ATLAS muon spectrometer is also described.
