Изучение возможностей детектора CMS по регистрации мюонных пар с большой инвариантной массой
Description
Performance of the CMS detector in measurements of the signals beyond Standard Model in single- and di-muon channels was studied in energy range 0.1-3 TeV using simulated data. Efficiencies of L1 trigger and different stages of HLT were determined, as well as efficiency of offline reconstruction. Systematic effects from detector alignment were investigated, and influence of these effects on resolution of invariant mass for heavy resonances was estimated.
