Study of jet clustering algorithms using simulated events of the top pair production at the Large Hadron Collider
Description
The top quark being the most massive amongst the quarks is an interesting subject to study. Also the recent discovery at LHC (2012) stating that the mass of Higgs-boson is of the same order as that of the top quark opens up the new realm of study. Jets are the way to study the top quarks. A simulation of 10000 events of proton-proton collision was generated using PYTHIA8 and jets were reconstructed by FASTJET3. This project aims to study the effect of various parameters which affect the jet multiplicity.
